Federal government gets 14 days ultimatum to lift ban on rice importation

Because of the increasing hunger, sickness and diseases, premature deaths, criminality, suicidal actions by frustrated Nigerians, the National Publicity Secretary of CD (campaign for democracy) Dede Uzor Uzor gave the federal government a 14-days ultimatum to lift the ban placed on the importation of rice. In his statement on 24rd October, 2016, at Onitsha Anambra state he said, "with Nigerian being unable to grow enough rice for the population of about 180 million, continued placement of ban on it would only aggravate the situation and cause more harm than good".
